Obertraun is perfect for exploring the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hallstatt, which is only a short ferry ride away, as well as one of the oldest salt mines in the World.
Or visit the Dachstein Caves, on the edge of the village each one providing a unique experience.
During the winter, Obertraun is perfect for exploring the Dachstein Ski Region with 140km of intermediate piste and the Krippenstein Freeride arena, with its 11km run from top to bottom.
