Object Description

The 200 year old house has been restored since 2000 and lovingly prepared. The "strada alta" (literally: high street, = to find a 43 km long hiking trail at about 1000 m altitude, at Google) directly behind the house along. It is built in typical local style with a stone roof, made of granite slabs, quiet location, with unobstructed views, free-standing with garden and patio, no through road, road ends in the next town.

Location and surroundings:

The house is located approximately at 1000 m altitude in the middle of Ticino (Leventina), on the southern slopes of the valley above the town Faido, at the highway section between the Gotthard tunnel and Biasca. Another 7 km uphill lies the ski area Cari, another in Airolo (30 km) or north of the Alps (Andermatt), depending on weather and snow conditions, cross-country ski trail in Airolo, many trails for mountain biking. The Lago Maggiore offers further opportunities for excursions such as Isola di Brissage, Villa Taranto, Monte Verita, etc. Numerous cable cars over 1900 m.

Getting there

By car from South AB (Bernhardino tunnel) or from the north (Gotthard tunnel) exit Faido, about 4 km uphill.
By train to Zurich and from there a train directly to Faido, where there is a daily bus to 4x Rossura.
By plane to Zurich or Lugano and there with the train each.
