Hermannsburg is itself a basic center and is located about 28 kilometers north of the next funding center, the city of Celle. The distance to the capital city of Hanover is approximately 78 kilometers. Hermannsburg is northeast of Hanover, and south of Hamburg, about 100 kilometers away. Hermannsburg is located in the western part of South Heath Nature Park. Baven is directly connected to Hermannsburg. The old nucleus is structurally protected from urban sprawl and too little land. Old oak trees on the farms dot the village.
