Object Description

The Residence Borgo San Carlo lies 3km from the town of Pomaia, in the heart of Tuscany.

Opened in 2002, it has already been noticed by numerous operators in the tourist trade for the architectural quality and style of its apartments and the tasteful furnishings and fixtures. Its geographical position, only 15km from the sea and very close to all the most important cities of art in Tuscany, is enriched by a natural environment lavish with green countryside and charming views.

Entirely rebuilt over the ruins of an old factory used to manufacture alabaster, just a few kilometres away there is the important Buddhist monastery of Lama Tzong Khapa, a place of pilgrimage for illustrious tourists from all over the world.

The construction work has been done not only respecting the environment with a preference made for natural materials and ecologically compatible techniques: the philosophy of a complete permeation of the Residence with nature – the proof of which stands in the fact that the entire complex is totally immersed in the lush green countryside – also confirmed by a system of solar panels which is used for the hot water supply.

Apartments

The spacious apartments offer wonderful views, and are all furnished in typical Tuscan style.

The Residence is immersed in the green countryside and for this reason every apartment always looks onto gardens and areas surrounded by hedges where you can relax, sunbathe of have a barbecue. Also there are numerous services which you can use both at the Residence or in the surroundings.

Plants, Flowers, Hills
From March to late September at the Residence the best of nature is on show. Trees, lavender and rosemary bushes, hedges of bay leaves, pomegranates, broom and the shady elm and oak trees; from your apartment window you'll be able to take part in a true spectacle of colour.

Activities and Relaxation
Staying at the Residence is always a stimulating experience. You can alternate days of total relaxation by the side of the pool or in your garden with days where you try wine-and-dine tours, or develop your creative streak or do some invigorating exercise and sport.

The staff at the Residence will be able to advise you about the activities to take or the itineraries which can be made, acting as a reference point for you for the entire period that you will be staying with us.

Getting there

from Florence: (alternative route) motorway A11 for Pisa, at Pisa Nord proceed along the A12 (Livorno - Genova) in the direction of Rosignano, arrive to the end of the motorway toll of Rosignano, proceed in the
direction of Grosseto along the dual carriageway Variante Aurelia, exit at Cecina and proceed in the direction of Cecina on the SS 68.Then proceed in direction of Pisa on the SS206 until the junction for Pomaia.

The Residence offers you the possibility to tan by the pool, while the fresh breeze of the woods and hills makes it pleasant even during the hottest hours. You can relax under the numerous umbrellas around the pool.

During one of the many pauses you can enjoy at the Residence, your children will toss around diving and playing endless games in the water.

Supermarkets:
The nearest supermarket is in the town of Pomaia, only 3 km from the Residence. It is opened from 07.30 (7.30am) to 13.00 (1pm) and from 16.30 (4.30pm) to 20.30 (8.30pm).
At Rosignano Solvay there is a Coop and a Conad, with opening times 08.30 (8.30am) - 20.30 (8.30pm). Also open on Sunday morning.
