Rooms | Suites: | This small private place owns only 5 comfortable guest cottages situated in the middle of a tropical garden resembling a farmhouse style. |
Bedrooms / bathrooms: | Just 10 meter from the pool, but even in the middle of tropical green. The family bungalow with new terrace and 2 separate bed rooms. n the meantime, nevertheless, for large detached guest houses with 52 square meters floor space (Living and sleeping area, shower and toilet) and with a large roofed terrace have been completed. Each of three guest houses has its own particular location and provides the feeling to live in the middle of a jungle! At the swimming pool, sun beds invite to relax in green environs! |
Kitchen: | From your room to the pool or to the "Porini Restaurant ", which is part of "Boko-Boko", and where you have your breakfast in this open plan restaurant amidst the green of tropical plants, you only have to walk a few meters through the lavish garden. The "Porini Restaurant", also called the "Coco De Mer" Restaurant with a long tradition since 1975, is well known for delicious dishes of the Seychelles and of the local kitchen of the coast region. Breakfast and lunch are at the pool. |
Outside: | The inspiring surroundings are being shared by big and small tortoises, monkeys moving through the area now and then, colorful butterflies, as well as birds passing by. For our 4 Aldabra Giant Tortoises, originating from the Seychelles island of Aldabra, a big outdoor enclosure is being completed. There our guests can visit the animals at any time . Our smaller local tortoises like the hingeback tortoises and the pretty leopard tortoisse likewise inhabit an out-door enclosure, which can be entered, and are looking forward to your visit. For terrapins, Tilapia perches, and other smaller fish a new fishpond has been built in the middle of the garden. The new place also attracts numerous butterflies, dragonflies, and birds and will in the near future certainly become also the home of different kinds of frogs! In the dense foliage dwarf geckos and Tanzanian Skinks got themselves a new domicile and every now and then a chameleon or monitor lizard can be observed in the garden. |
Other: | "Porini" means in the Swahili Language as much as bush and thus the a good 20,000 square meter property have also become again a real Porini, which is home to numerous birds and other animals and offers you an oasis for a quite special vacation! |

Boko-Boko is surrounded by green bush and is located along the New Mombasa/Malindi highway in Kikambala. The environment here is characterized by Shambas (small farms) of local the Giriama tribes, with their animal husbandry and agriculture, as well as the surrounding dense Bush land. Cattle farms and sisal plantations with gigantic Baobab trees determine the landscape. Although only 25 kilometres away from the lively city of Mombasa, Africa could retain itself here still much of its uniqueness. Travelling across the land, one is rewarded with impressive pictures of the life of the Giriama. By meeting them you will know that they are friendly people, who still live their traditional life. Those who want to experience East Africa off the main tourist stream, and want to discover undisturbed the world of animals and plants of the coastal region of Kenya, will here certainly be at the right place. The variety of reptiles and birds in the "Porini" (bush) and its environment is impressive. From “Boko Boko, Porini Farm and Guesthouse” up to white extensive "Kikambala Beach" and the Indian Ocean it is approx. 2,500 meters. The way to the beach leads through farm and bush land and can easily be mastered either on foot, with the "boda-boda" bicycle service of the locals, or by rented bicycle! Those who want to can also transport to the beach by car can be arranged! |

We offer an Airport transfer from Mombasa airport. The Boko Boko, Porini Farm and Guesthouse is located on the right side of the connecting route between Mombasa and Malindi, about 20 minutes drive from Mombasa. |

A Game Safari in the „Kenyan Bush“ is without doubt one of the highlights of any journey to East Africa. The „Boko Boko“ presents itself as the right place to relax before or after such an excursion. Although Boko Boko does not organize or offer Safaris directly, you will however be gladly assisted in your selection and reservation. |
