Avenues Guesthouse is situated in the gateway to the Garden Route and above beautiful Mossel Bay. Enjoy your day at our solar-heated saltwater pool with sundeck chairs and umbrellas or in our cosy lounge with a book and a cup of tea or coffee. There are complementary tea and coffee making facilities in our kitchen. We also offer off-street parking, wireless Internet access, laundry service, fax service, shuttle service to and from the restaurants, beach towels, cool boxes, ice bricks and more.
Our three cosy double rooms “Captain's Cabin”, “Berlin Blue” and “Seashells” are situated in the main house and are laid to the nice-shaped courtyard. The rooms are equipped with double beds, shower / WC, DStv, fan, heater, hairdryer and a safe. At the back you’ll find your own little verandah with two sundeck chairs – enjoy the sun!
Outside of the main part of the house there are two cottages “Rose’s Room” and “Africa”. “Africa” offers two single beds, heater, hairdryer, safe and an exclusive shower / WC en-suite. “Rose’s Room” offers an extra-length queen-size bed, heater, hairdryer, safe and an exclusive shower / WC en-suite.
Our family unit, also situated in the main house, offers two bedrooms sharing one bathroom with shower / WC and is equipped with safe, hairdryer and ceiling fans. “Leaves” has twin beds and a sleeper couch, “Lavender” has an extra-length queen-size bed. Both bedrooms have their own entrance and their own access to the bathroom – perfect for families with children.

Avenues Guesthouse is situated in a safe and quiet residential area right on top of Mossel Bay. You will need approximately five minutes to the main attractions of Mossel Bay, to the restaurants and sightseeing spots.
Situated on the world-famous Garden Route of South Africa, Mossel Bay is known for its great natural beauty with kilometres of golden beaches and its clean city centre with its beautiful historical stone houses.

Getting there

From Cape Town - On the R102 (Louis Fourie Avenue) take the left turn off to Mossel Bay, at the traffic light turn right into Marsh Street and follow the street down to town. At corner Marsh / Church Street (Kerk Straat) turn right and follow the street uphill. Pass the school on the left side and turn left into 21st Avenue. Follow the street almost to the end - Avenues Guesthouse is situated on the left side.
From George - Turn off from the N2, at the traffic lights turn right into R 102 (Louis Fourie Avenue) and pass the Langeberg Mall on the left side. After approx. 5,2 km take the left turnoff into town / to Marsh Street. Downtown at corner Marsh / Church Street (Kerk Straat) turn right into Church Street. Follow the street uphill to the top, pass the school on the left side and turn left into 21st Avenue. Follow the street almost to the end - Avenues Guesthouse is situated on the left side.
