Affordable air conditioned Hong Thaeo appartments right in the middle of the island in the eastern part of Thalang at the foot of the hills of Khao Phra Thaeo National Park. The facility is surrounded by gardens. Bedrooms are fully furnished. Ideal as a base camp for expeditions to the remote northern beaches of the island. On the ground floor there are non-aircon room with fan for 80% of the rental fee. The kitchen is not furnished or equipped with anything. Just use the cheap restaurant or grocery Kitchen equipment can also be rented for 2,50 Euro a day. (Gas oven, plates, cutlery, crockery, pot, pan, sponge, dishwashing liquid etc.). The compound is open 24 hours a day.

Very quiet location in the middle of the island in the eastern part of Thalang at the foot of the hills of Khao Phra Thaeo National Park surrounded by gardens. Adjacent is the ample monastary garden of the Wat Pratong. Grocery and a little restaurant are part of the compound. Laundry nearby.
